Wow, you have really researched and organized all the relevant information.
One thing I would add: The password recovery will ask for the e-mail you registered with when you started the account as a form of initial id (they will not send anything out to the e-mail, however). This is another thing to keep in your records which are off the computer and if a safe location.
The inportant thing is not to allow panic to overtake you, and to check your computer security first, before embarking on recovery.
